I’ve been a fan of Superman ever since I watched Lois and Clark. I’ve been an avid viewer of that show when it was still on-air. I actually bought the DVDs of seasons 1 and 2 because like Friends, I enjoy watching them over and over. I also ordered a customized Superman pin from a friend who works in a company that does just that: customized pins, but distributed the pins to other people. What’s up with that? Where’s my pin?? (I’m bitter… =P hehehe)
Imagine my excitement when Superman the movie was about to be shown! I couldn’t wait for June 28 (or 30?) to come just because of the movie release.
But through some sort of (divine) intervention (hahaha), KC and I were able to watch it on its premiere night… for FREE. =)
On our way to an Italian restaurant, we saw several guys (independently) wearing Superman t-shirts. I thought it was because Superman’s showing was coming really soon, but not knowing that they were having the advanced screening that night (Monday). Now that I think about it… could it have been a premonition of what was about to happen? As we passed by the bookstore beside the theater, two random guys asked if we wanted to watch Superman, and they gave us their extra tickets! I was so grateful… I guess I didn’t expect such wonderful gesture from total strangers.
For those two guys who gave us the tickets, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. It was very much appreciated!
The movie was very creatively done! The visual and sound effects were outstanding. I LOVED the casting… especially for the role of Clark Kent/ Superman. Brandon Routh was a great choice! Although, honestly, I think I should’ve been casted as Lois Lane.
hahaha…
